Earlier this month, we were joined by Amber Massie-Blomfield, a critically acclaimed creative nonfiction writer and author of the award-winning ‘Twenty Theatres to See Before You Die’.

She is a regular contributor and columnist for The Stage and has written for titles including The Independent, The Guardian, The Pool, Brixton Review of Books, New Internationalist, The Journal of Wild Culture and many more.

During her residency, she spent her time researching visual artist Claude Cahun in preparation for her new book, Acts of Resistance. She also hosted a workshop on how to write a memoir sharing the tips and techniques she uses to bring true stories to life on the page, helping attendees to infuse their anecdotes with colour, excitement and humour.
