Are you a budding photographer who wants to get involved with an exciting community project?
As part of Jersey’s official celebrations of Liberation 75, ArtHouse Jersey has commissioned The Peoples Picture to create one of the most ambitious pieces of participatory art Jersey has seen – ‘The Face of Liberation’. The photos submitted for ‘The Face of Liberation’ will form a large photo mosaic featuring the faces of Jersey inhabitants, past and present, covering over 1,000 square feet of wall space in St Helier.
We are asking Islander’s to submit photos from the past and present along with a description of what freedom means to them. So far the community and media’s response to the project has been overwhelming, but with the deadline approaching, we are urging all of our supports to send us your faces by 15 March, so please submit your photo here!
We are also looking for photographers at all skill levels to be part of the story and take photos of our community for ‘The Face Of Liberation’. If this piques your interest, and you would like to volunteer, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org for further details.
