Sound of Colour is our ongoing experiment with sight and sound, which will culminate in an spectacular music and projection extravaganza, coming to Jersey in the autumn of 2021.
ArtHouse Jersey has commissioned internationally renowned projection designer and creative director Akhila Krishnan to create a visual spectacle unlike anything the Island has seen before. Akhila has worked on projects for the London Olympics Opening Ceremony, Somerset House, Channel 4 and The Sydney Opera House, to name but a few. Originally from India but now living and working in London, her work explores the possibilities that technology offers to take narrative and story-telling beyond the screen, bringing it into live spaces via shared experiences.
The final piece created by Akhila, exploring themes of identity and sense of place, will be projected onto the ceiling of the St. Helier Town Church, amongst the installations of the Skipton Big Ideas exhibition, transforming the space with stunning visuals and transporting the audience beyond the walls of the venue for a truly ‘one off’ experience.
The projection will be accompanied by a unique, original score by a soon-to-be-announced, Jersey born producer and composer, featuring special guest musicians.
Tickets will be limited so be sure to look out for announcements through our newsletter and on social media.
