PROGRAMME OFFICER

We are seeking a highly motivated and organised person to assist us with the delivery of our broad and diverse programme.

Working principally with the Head of Programme, but also assisting the organisation’s Producers and members of the Senior Management team, you will turn your hand to a range of tasks across a multitude of projects mixed between our exhibition space in Capital House, at Greve de Lecq Barracks and at sites all over the Island as part of our public art and community offerings.

The ability to multitask and prioritise will be critical, along with excellent internal communication skills. Within this role there will be instances of directly project managing aspects of our programme, alongside working to task and assisting others with their work. Whilst the core hours will be within the traditional working week, some flexibility will be required for evening and weekend work, which will then be granted back in lieu.

Whilst the programme sits at the heart of what we do, this role will need to be cognisant and responsive to all aspects of the charity’s work from strategies around audience engagement, feedback and evaluation, income generation and accessibility, safeguarding and inclusivity.

Previous project management experience is highly desirable, ideally with previous experience of working in the arts.

About ArtHouse Jersey

Our charity brings art into everyday life by creating opportunities for people to take part, experience and enjoy creativity across Jersey.

Creativity matters. It entertains and inspires. It challenges how we see the world. But it also does something deeper. Creativity helps people feel connected, strengthens communities and makes Jersey a more vibrant place to live, work and visit.

Research has consistently shown that public investment in arts and culture generates a strong return through jobs, tourism, skills development, wellbeing and wider social value.

We often work with partner organisations across the third sector, to ensure that as many people as possible have the opportunity to encounter art and creativity in ways they may never have expected.

The deadline for applications is 23.59pm Sunday 9 August 2026. We intend to hold interviews week commencing Monday 24 August 2024. DOWNLOAD THE APPLICATION PACK HERE.
