Fish Wish - Paîsson d’Pâssion

Over 12 weeks artists Esther Rose Parkes and Karen Le Roy Harris transformed a unit at the Fish Market into a creative studio and community space as part of The Jersey Markets Residency. Their vision was to celebrate the Central and Fish Markets as spaces of shared memories, vibrant connections, and future hopes.

Structures & Memory (a place called Wurzach)

The exhibition features the work of four Jersey artists - composer Emily de Gruchy, documentary photographer Shan O’Donnell, sculptural and performance artists Oliver Le Gresley and Nicole Sheppard - alongside archival materials collected by the families of deportees to Bad Wurzach during the war and a major new artwork created by Jersey school children.

Artist Talk with Yulia Makeyeva: Art Between History and Memory

Jersey-based artist Yulia Makeyeva presents a short lecture on historical and contemporary approaches to commemoration, including recent works from her current practice, followed by a discussion. In her talk she will address such questions as, how do we remember wars and conflicts? and how can art make heard the silenced and forgotten experiences of trauma and persecution?
