Matthew Holcroft
Site Caretaker
Matt is caretaker for our ArtHouse Jersey sites, in particular our Headquarters at Greve de Lecq Barracks and the La Folie art studios. His role is to help keep the locations running smoothly while coordinating with visiting artists, contractors and event organisers. He looks after our on-site tenants, visitors to the Barracks and guests staying in our holiday apartments, ensuring all feel welcome and their stay enjoyable.
Before joining the ArtHouse Jersey team, Matt was a professional musician for 20 years. This allowed him to travel around the UK and parts of Europe playing events of all types from weddings to festivals and theatres. During his time as a musician he has learnt many skills including planning, organisation, scheduling and working closely with suppliers and venues. After leaving school and before becoming a full time musician, Matt studied at Highlands College. Firstly GNVQ Business, then GNVQ Engineering.
