Architecture Week 2026 with The Association of Jersey Architects
Wednesday 30 September to Sunday 4 October at ArtHouse Jersey at Capital House
The Association of Jersey Architects (the AJA) takes over Capital House to host Architecture Week 2026, consisting of walks, talks, activities for all ages and an open call architectural exhibition focusing on the week’s theme ‘a sense of place’. The gallery aims to become a platform for exploring the world of architecture and will ask what ‘place’ means in the context of Jersey today. It will be a shared space to learn and think about our built environment, be creative and find inspiration.
Guided walks will explore St Helier’s urban fabric and streetscape, uncovering many of the architectural gems and qualities forming the often unnoticed backdrop of our every day. Talks will explore the latest architectural thinking and practice from our Island and further afield, with lively panel discussions held to stimulate debate and conversation on current issues around Jersey’s future. An architectural studio space will be set up for both adults and children hosting a range of activities that help us to develop our design thinking offering the chance to sketch, make models and explore ideas.

Jersey Architecture Week 2026: Exhibition Opening, Wednesday 30 September, 5pm to 8pm
The opening of Jersey Architecture week and awards with an introduction from Architect David Gausden plus drinks and music. Join for a diverse mix of work exploring the theme ‘a sense of place’ and what this means in the context of Jersey.

A Sense of Place and Sustainability , Thursday 1 October, 5:30pm to 8:30pm
A talk from Laura Baron - Head of Sustainability at the award wining London conservation architects, Purcell Part of Jersey Architecture Week 2026, Laura will be exploring the ways in which conservation and place making can work hand in hand with sustainability. Sense of Place Architecture Walk: Exploring overlooked spaces, Saturday 3 October, 2pm to 3pm
A guided architecture walk starting at ArtHouse Jersey. We will set out to explore the over looked places and spaces we pass everyday that harbour something interesting upon closer inspection, examining their qualities, what makes them work, where they go wrong, and their potential.
