Let the Good Times Roll

HAPPY (ALMOST) NEW YEAR!

OVER 50 LOCAL MUSICIANS TELL US TO ‘LET THE GOOD TIMES ROLL’ IN 2021

First performed by Louis Jordan in 1946, Let the Good Times Roll is a well known blues standard and has been described as ‘a buoyant invitation to party.’ This might be a stretch given current Covid restrictions, yet over fifty Jersey performers have assembled here to see islanders over 2020’s finish line in musical style, and with a nod towards better times to come.

Aside from the rhythm backing provided by three piece blues band ‘Juke’, all videos, vocal lines, parts and riffs were emailed to producer Paul Bisson for assembly, with assistance from audio producer JP Le Blond. Brass parts were arranged by jazz musician Brian White, with the main organ track provided by Paul Bentley.

A full list of contributing artists can be found in the closing credits, by which time we very much hope you’ll be on your feet and bopping along! So without further ado, happy new year to all…and Let the Good Times Roll.

Happy New Year from us all here at ArtHouse Jersey. See you on the other side!
