Sam MacKelden

Sam is an experienced project and creative manager with a passion for the arts. Having worked with various galleries and museums during nearly 10 years in the media and marketing industries, including the Tate, National Portrait Gallery, Natural History Museum and V&A, she has experience in delivering fast-paced and complex projects within marketing, retail and cultural sectors.

Most notably, Sam worked at the Royal Academy of Arts, London for a number of years and led on all aspects of design and production across The Academy. She was part of the team that delivered the now famous Ai Wei Wei main gallery exhibition, the critically acclaimed RA Summer Exhibition coordinated by Michael Craig-Martin and David Hockney’s, 82 Portraits and 1 Still-life. Sam also has extensive experience of implementing brand as well as creating a brand concept from the ground up. In particular, she has worked with retail giants such as John Lewis and Tesco to create, develop and bring to market own-brand, and branded products.

Currently Head of Projects at Switch Digital in St Helier, Sam enjoys working with numerous clients across various sectors, helping them to bring their campaign concepts and marketing strategies to life. As a fine arts graduate of Central Saint Martins and Goldsmiths College, Sam is proud to be part of the ArtHouse team continuing to promote the arts in Jersey.
