Abundant Futures: What Does It Mean To Be Local? with Dr. Mariana Pereira

  • Old Magistrates Court Seale Street Saint Helier, JE2 3RF Jersey (map)

We’re delighted to welcome Dr. Mariana Pinto Leitão Pereira, Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Heritage for Global Challenges Research Centre, University of York. Dr Pereira will lead research in Jersey looking at how migrant-led social change can grow, and the challenges and opportunities along the way. Her work will include interviews with people who have migration experiences and with local partners, culminating in a report with practical policy recommendations.

Abundant Futures is a long-term, socially engaged project commissioned by ArtHouse Jersey and led by Dana Olărescu. This event is for anyone who cares about community: residents with migration experiences, long-time Islanders, cultural practitioners, educators, journalists, service providers and policymakers. You’ll be warmly welcomed whether you come to listen, ask questions or share.

Free tickets can be booked here via Eventbrite.
