Here, Now and Light: Channel Islands – Puglia Artistic Exchange
Here, Now and Light marks the culmination of a year-long programme of international artist residencies bringing together artists from Jersey, Guernsey and the Puglia region of Italy. Developed across three island residencies during 2025, in Jersey, Guernsey and the Tremiti Islands, the project explores shared landscapes, heritage, folklore and island identities through contemporary artistic practice.
The final showcase brings together poetry, performance, music, sound, sculpture and installation, presenting work by Katie Bastiman, Oliver Le Gresley, Emily Linane, Alberto Curci, Mariangela Conte and Pasquale Oa. Spanning choreography, multimedia performance, visual art and writing, the works reflect on distance and connection, time and perception, light, landfalls and the lived experience of island life.
Produced by ArtHouse Jersey, Guernsey Arts and Puglia Culture, Here, Now and Light celebrates creative exchange across borders and the deep cultural connections between islands separated by geography yet united through shared histories and contemporary practice.
