Over many years, Jersey artist Danny Booth has developed a distinctive artistic practice inspired by flowers, gardens and the changing seasons. Working across painting, sculpture and installation, he transforms familiar natural forms into richly textured works that capture not simply the appearance of nature, but the experience of being immersed within it. His work invites us to slow down and rediscover moments of wonder that often pass unnoticed.
Full Bloom marks the most ambitious presentation of Danny's work to date. Bringing together a significant body of previously unseen work alongside a series of new paintings and sculptural commissions developed through ArtHouse Jersey's New Work Programme, the exhibition transforms Capital House into an immersive world of colour, texture and seasonal change. All of the works presented in Full Bloom will be exhibited publicly for the first time. Visitors are encouraged to wander at their own pace, discovering works that shift between observation and abstraction, rewarding curiosity with new details, perspectives and surprises.

Alongside Danny's collection, Full Bloom features a series of newly commissioned sculptural and installation works created with invited artists and makers. These include a large-scale floral installation, hand-forged metal sculpture, and immersive natural structures crafted from willow, branches, reclaimed timber, and other botanical materials. Together, these works extend Danny's exploration of the changing seasons beyond the canvas, inviting visitors to move through the exhibition as well as observe it.
Visitors can also explore Full Bloom through our Audio Companion, accessed via NFC tags and QR codes displayed on the perspex plaques throughout the exhibition using their own smartphone or tablet. We recommend bringing headphones if you'd like to enjoy the audio content during your visit. If you don't have a suitable device or headphones, a small number are available to borrow from the gallery. Alongside Audio Description, the platform offers optional Go Deeper audio insights from artist Danny Booth and curator and producer Robyn Cabaret, together with translations in multiple languages. Designed to support different ways of engaging with the exhibition, visitors are free to explore as much or as little of the additional content as they choose.
EVENTS
Alongside the exhibition there will be a programme of events offering different ways to experience the work and tickets can be booked via ArtHouse Jersey’s Eventbrite.
