This World Art Day, Wednesday 15 April, ArtHouse Jersey is proud to join fellow island cultural organisations - Jersey Arts Centre, Jersey Opera House, Ballet d'Jèrri and Jersey Heritage - in a vibrant, island-wide celebration of creativity, community and artistic expression.
From exhibitions and open studios to family workshops and large-scale community activities, we’re opening our doors across multiple locations, inviting you to explore, make, and connect through art. World Art Day is about celebrating the power of creativity to connect communities, spark ideas, and inspire change.
Whether you’re a seasoned art lover or simply curious, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

Channel Islands Contemporary Art Show
Discover a dynamic exhibition of new work by artists from across the Channel Islands and Brittany, France.
This vibrant showcase brings together diverse voices and practices, offering a unique opportunity to experience contemporary art from across the region in one place. Learn more HERE.

You, Me and the Sea
A joyful exhibition featuring artwork created by young people and families during Easter holiday workshops. Inspired by nature and the coast, this exhibition celebrates creativity, connection and environmental awareness.
World Art Day Creative Workshops (within the You, Me and the Sea exhibition)
Join artist educator, Amanda Harvey, to make some fabulous fish and joyful jellyfish to celebrate Worlds Art Day 2026. Suitable for Age 5+
This workshop is prefect for family groups who would like to take part in a short creative activity. Using materials such as paper, wool, carboard and glue you will be supported to create colourful seaside creatures.
The workshops are free but booking is essential HERE.

Marc Medland Open Studio
Visit artist Marc Medland’s studio and enter a world of imagination and storytelling.
Working across drawing, painting, collage and model-making, Marc creates playful, character-filled worlds inspired by vintage visual culture from the 1960s–80s.
This is a unique opportunity to experience his creative process firsthand and explore a studio that acts as both laboratory and playground for ideas.

Jersey Markets Residency
Islanders at the Fish Market (all day)
A striking photographic series by Jersey-based photographer Connor Daly, capturing portraits of market traders and celebrating the people at the heart of island life.
Hanging On at the Central Market
All day | Launch event at 6.30pm
Join us for the unveiling of a new sculptural work by Jersey artist Oliver Le Gresley.
This piece reimagines and responds to the architectural history of the iconic Central Market — blending contemporary art with heritage in a bold new way.

🌈 Community Chalk Event (Clos Mourant for Andium Homes Residents)

In partnership with Andium Homes, this collaborative chalk workshop brings neighbours together through large-scale drawing and shared creativity.

An evening mixed-media workshop exploring:

Print and collage
Painting techniques
Participants will create their own artwork and contribute to a collaborative piece using flowers, shadows and expressive line work.
