Launching ‘Live at the Barracks 2025’music series, sponsored by Oakglen Wealth
Emily Faye headlines the opening event on Friday 22 August with a heartfelt acoustic performance
We are proud to announce the return of our much-loved Live at the Barracks music series, now bolstered by a new partnership with Oakglen Wealth as headline sponsor.
This year’s series shines a spotlight on emerging and locally cherished talent, set against the intimate and atmospheric backdrop of the historic barracks at Greve de Lecq, ArtHouse Jersey’s HQ. Each performance in the series embraces a stripped-back, acoustic approach, with artists sharing stories behind their songs and creative process, offering audiences a rare and personal connection to the music.
Kicking off the series on Friday 22 August is acclaimed singer-songwriter Emily Faye, whose distinctive blend of pop and country has won praise from Rolling Stone magazine as ‘one to watch’. With roots in Jersey and a first-class honours degree in songwriting, Emily brings both professionalism and passion to the stage. As co-founder of the 'Write Like A Girl' movement, which champions female voices in music, her stripped-back, storytelling performance promises to be an emotive and empowering start to the season.
Emily will be followed by two more standout artists; Nic Dinnie who will perform on Friday 24 October and Joe Rogerson on Friday 28 November.
Nic Dinnie is a long-time favourite in Jersey’s live music scene, known for his captivating stage presence and a sound that sits comfortably between modern indie and vintage soul. Drawing inspiration from legends such as Stevie Wonder, Frank Sinatra, and John Mayer, Nic has developed a smooth, jazzy vocal style layered over rich acoustic melodies. His performances are more than just technically skilled; they’re deeply personal, inviting listeners into a reflective, emotionally grounded space. At Live at the Barracks, Nic will deliver a stripped-back set that brings his storytelling and musical dexterity to the fore, offering audiences a rare chance to experience the depth of his artistry in an intimate setting.
Born and raised in Jersey, Joe Rogerson is a self-taught guitarist and singer-songwriter whose music carries the raw edge and anthemic energy of 90s Britpop. Influenced by iconic bands like The Beatles, Oasis, and The Stone Roses, Joe made his mark locally as frontman of the beloved early-2000s band The Dirty Trades. His solo work retains the spirit of rebellion and honesty that defined that era, but it’s now tempered with warmth, humour, and a connection to community. With his gritty vocals and emotionally charged acoustic guitar work, Joe’s Live at the Barracks performance promises both nostalgia and newness, a powerful reminder of the enduring power of local talent.
