This autumn, ArtHouse Jersey presents Luke Jerram's internationally acclaimed touring artwork, Museum of the Moon. Measuring six metres in diameter and featuring highly detailed NASA imagery of the lunar surface, this illuminated sculpture combines light with a surround sound composition, inviting audiences to encounter our closest celestial neighbour in an entirely new way.

Presented as part of the Butterfield Public Art Series, the artwork will be accompanied by a vibrant programme of events, from yoga sessions and family storytelling to performances and creative experiences, offering many different ways to gather beneath the moon. Moon is hosted at St. Helier Methodist Centre by kind arrangement with the Methodist Church in Jersey.

Following the success of Floating Earth, which attracted more than 31,000 visitors in Jersey, Moon continues ArtHouse Jersey's commitment to bringing extraordinary public artworks to unexpected places and creating moments of shared wonder.

About Moon

Museum of the Moon has been co-commissioned by a number of creative organisations brought together by Luke Jerram and Norfolk & Norwich Festival, including Greenwich+Docklands International Festival, Brighton Festival, Without Walls, Lakes Alive, Provinciaal Domein Dommelhof, Cork Midsummer Festival, We The Curious, Ensemble Arts Philly and Les Tombées de la Nuit. The artwork was created in partnership with the UK Space Agency, the University of Bristol and The Association for Science and Discovery Centres.
